In support of the Literacy Project Foundation (LPF), more than 225 guests attended the grand opening of Pascal Olhats’ Brasserie Pascal in Fashion Island for a “Bastille Day Celebration” on July 14, 2009. The event raised over $5,000 for LPF’s reading programs, Get Set Read!, to service after school programs in OC School Districts. Owner and French immigrant Pascal Olhats was compassionate about honoring LPF with his special grand opening since he believes literacy is a foundational tool that ensures success in America. The cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception offered award winning wines courtesy of Crinella Winery with vintner Dr. Frank Crinella in attendance as an honorary guest and proprietor Pascal Olhats on hand to welcome guests with tastings of his new cuisine served in the more casual French atmosphere of Brasserie Pascal.
