Newport Beach, CA – On Thursday, September 27, 2012, the Literacy Project Foundation (LPF) will host its annual luncheon “What Dreams Are Made Of” to raise funds for LPF’s efforts to fight illiteracy in Orange County. The luncheon, held at Marconi Automotive Museum and co-chaired by LPF board members JoAnn Albers and Sue Tucker, will feature a keynote address by cultural icon Mark Victor Hansen, internationally acclaimed entrepreneurial coach and author of best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Hansen will share his personal journey through the world of literacy and the risks society faces when great minds are left behind.

“What Dreams Are Made of” will bring together students, philanthropists, literacy experts, passionate supporters of education and anyone who cares to give struggling at-risk students the gift of literacy. A highlight includes students, now currently enrolled in the Foundation’s 10-week literacy program, who will speak about their future dreams as literate adults. Event proceeds will sponsor LPF’s reading program and teacher administrator at no cost to in-classroom and after school environments.

Hansen’s credentials include a lifetime of entrepreneurial success as well as an extensive academic background. Besides the Chicken Soup Series, Hansen’s other bestselling books include The One Minute Millionaire, Cracking the Millionaire Code, How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life, The Power of Focus, The Aladdin Factor, Dare to Win and others. Hansen has also made a profound influence through his extensive library of audio programs, video programs and enriching articles in the areas of big thinking, sales achievement, publishing success and personal and professional development.

Mark Victor Hansen is also known as a passionate philanthropist and humanitarian, working tirelessly for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Childhelp USA among others. He is an enthusiastic crusader of what's possible and is driven to make the world a better place.
